Kim Morin Weineck

Kim Morin Weineck concentrates on the beauty of everything around her. She strives to communicate the experience of a specific moment in her work saying “when someone says my painting makes them feel content, I know I’ve captured that essence which drew me to paint it in the first place.”

A resident of Southeastern Massachusetts, Kim is a juried member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA), a Signature Member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC), and is the founder and Instructor of the Neponset Valley Artists (NVA), a local active painting atelier. She is an enthusiastic instructor of all mediums, but her own specialty is in painting with soft pastel. Kim teaches numerous single and multi-day workshops locally and around the country for artists at all levels.

Kim holds a BFA in Fine Art, 2D from Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she graduated with distinction. She found her artist-voice studying at the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art in Brittany, France, a program affiliated with the Rhode Island School of Design. Kim She has also served as a Gallery Director where she enjoyed coaching emerging artists in the local art community. In 2014, Kim’s painting “Marsh Morning” was featured in Pastel Journal’s Pastel 100, selected from over 2500+ entries!

A mother to two young daughters, Kim describes herself as a happy wife struggling to juggle it all, which includes teaching and painting but also making homemade jam for fresh scones in the morning. Artistic inspiration  is everywhere  on walks with the family dog through the wonderful open field and woodland trails, and by the rivers and swimming holes near her home in Norfolk, MA.
